Table 1 presents the correlation coefficients between various meteorological factors and photovoltaic (PV) power generation. From the data, it is evident that both total solar irradiance and direct irradiance have a notably strong positive correlation with the power output, with coefficients of 0.91369 and 0.89283, respectively.
PV systems can be designed to operate as a stand-alone installation or to be connected to an electrical grid. In the latter case, their output may be used on site or exported depending on the local power demand. PV systems can also be integrated with other generation plants (e.g. diesel generators) to form hybrid systems.
